Will Packer, producer of the US comedy smash hit RIDE ALONG, is setting up his first project over at Universal titled GIRLS TRIP. Packer is obviously hot property at the moment since he actually has two films in the top 10, the second being ABOUT LAST NIGHT, which has grossed $38 million in just two weeks. While Packer produces, directorial duties for GIRLS TRIP will be handled by Malcolm D. Lee.
Packer has another film fast approaching release in the form of THINK LIKE A MAN TOO, which will hit US cinemas on 20th June and UK cinemas on 19th September. After that film’s released it’s straight on to RIDE ALONG 2, which will start filming this summer. It’s a busy time for Packer and he doesn’t show any signs of slowing down. Packer’s had 5 films open at the number one spot in the US and GIRLS TRIP will be his first film for Universal who have signed him up for a three year contract.
RIDE ALONG is released in the UK this Friday and judging by the trailers and positive word of mouth it’s something I’m going to be very interested in seeing.
