Whether you love them or loathe them, Michael Bay’s TRANSFORMERS films have been a huge success at the box office since the original instalment starring Shia Labeouf. As a result the two subsequent sequels that followed the original 2007 smash hit, have been even more lucrative across the globe, therefore making a fourth film inevitable.
And so here we are in 2014 with a brand new (slightly rebooted) entry in the explosion filled franchise, only this time round Mark Wahlberg will be taking the lead. Although plot details are being kept firmly under wraps for now, we do know that all of our favourite Autobots will return for more robo-mayhem including Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. A brand new trailer for the film will be available online later today and Paramount have released a short preview for the exciting reveal. On top of that we also have two new posters for TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION showcasing its leading men Mark Wahlberg and Jack Reynor. You can check them out below:
Although the preview doesn’t really give us any footage we haven’t already seen in the Superbowl spot, it’s certainly enough to wet our appetites for the big reveal of the new trailer later today. Wahlberg and Reynor are also looking suitably bleak and battle-scared in both the posters above, lets just hope that this film can combine the charm of the original with the dark apocalyptic atmosphere of the third instalment. TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION stars Mark Wahlberg, Jack Reynor, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Bingbing Li, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Titus Welliver and Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime.
