Watch: First ‘Sin City 2’ Trailer Sizzles

Today saw the SIN CITY 2 trailer hit the internet, giving us a much needed pre-weekend treat. Fans of the first film will be happy to know that everything in the trailer points to the sequel being just as slick as the original. The film has come under fire in the past for taking so long to materialise a second part, but remember, long before film became as commercial as it is today directors took their time and rewarded the wait with a great movie. As opposed to today where they rattle countless sequels off each year, often with a distinct lack of quality.

SIN CITY 2 will be released in 3D, and the world of Sin City should look pretty good in what has become a slightly gimmicky way to make a film make more money. The film sees Mickey Rourke and Jessica Alba return to the streets of the infamous city with strong new additions, including Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Eva Green and Josh Brolin. SIN CITY 2 will be released 22nd August in the US, and a week later on the 29th August in the UK.
