SHARKNADO was the surprise Syfy channel hit of last year, and became a bit of a phenomena, with everyone clamouring to watch it. Easily one of the cheesiest movies ever made, the film was an example of being one of those films that are so bad, it’s good.
The film starred AMERICAN PIE actress Tara Reid and original BEVERLY HILLS 90210 star Ian Ziering. The plot saw LA experience a freak tornado storm, made all the worse after it sucked-up a gaggle of blood-thirsty sharks. Shortly after the resounding success became apparent, a sequel was announced days after the originals air date.
Ingeniously titled SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE, the sequel will shift the story to New York. WWE wrestling star Kurt Angle is taking on one of the lead roles, whilst several other celebrities have been announced as having cameos, including the original pair, Kelly Osbourne and Perez Hilton.It was confirmed yesterday that the US television date will be 31st July.
