The FX Channel’s new 10 part adaptation of FARGO, the classic 1996 film of the same name, has been bought up by Channel 4 and will air later this spring. Adapted by Noah Hawley (BONES), the new televisual take on the Coen Brother’s dark comedy stars  Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Kate Walsh and Bob Odenkirk. Channel 4’s chief creative officer Jay Hunt said:

“FARGO is a perfect Channel 4 show – a dark comedy, beautifully directed with a stunning cast. We are excited to be bringing it to a British audience.”

FARGO debuts on FX in the US on the 15th April, so expect C4 to start airing the show around then. And also, remember to let us know what you think of this new take on FARGO. Are you for it, or is the film just too iconic to remake?

From an early age, Matt Dennis dreamt of one day becoming a Power Ranger. Having achieved that dream back in the noughties, he’s now turned his hand to journalism and broadcasting. Matt can often be found in front of a TV screen, watching his current favourite shows such as DOCTOR WHO, GAME OF THRONES, SHERLOCK, DAREDEVIL, and THE WALKING DEAD, though he’s partial to a bit of vintage TV from yesteryear. Matt also co-presents the Geek Cubed podcast, which you can download from iTunes. It’s quite nice.
