Channel 4’s most socially inept squad will be back on our screens later this year for THE INBETWEENERS 2, which now has a release date of 6th August, 2014 in the UK and Ireland. The sequel follows hapless group Will, Simon, Neil and Jay as they take a trip to Australia. And that’s about as far as the plot goes so far, but then there wasn’t really much of a plot to the first one, was there?
Either way, THE INBETWEENERS MOVIE was a smash hit in cinemas and had its fair share of laughs, so it’s no wonder we’re getting a sequel – it’ll just be a question of whether the gang are still young enough to pull off the immature dynamic that the show thrived on.
THE INBETWEENERS 2 is written and directed by series creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris, starring Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas, Emily Berrington, Freddie Stroma and David Field. It’s in UK cinemas this summer.
