Movies certainly want to make their mark on the Chinese box office these days. IRON MAN 3 even went so far as to offer China an exclusive version of the film with 4 minutes of footage not seen anywhere else. Unfortunately, the film was panned for the addition of such footage that turned out to be little more than a money grab. It also incorporated a performance from Chinese actress Fan Bingbing, who was utilised for all of 20 seconds. Hopefully the same fate will not befall Li Bingbing in TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION.
Li Bingbing has just received her own character poster. She plays Su Yueming, the CEO of a Transofmrers manufacturing group based in China. Li Bingbing is probably best known to western audiences for her roles in RESIDENT EVIL: RETRIBUTION and THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM. Fans of Fan Bingbing need not worry though, as she also returns to the big screen this summer in a more prominent role for X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST.
TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION is released 27th June in teh US and 10th July in the UK. It stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Titus Welliver, Peter Cullen, and Li Bingbing.
