Go Behind The Scenes Of ‘The Raid 2’

Gareth Evans’ remake of DREDD was a surprise hit upon its 2012 release. Well, THE RAID may not have been a remake, but it was certainly a hit. A hit that included a lot of hitting, as the stars showed off their extreme skills when it came to martial arts and brutality. Now it’s the turn of the sequel, which is getting some seriously good reviews. The film picks up where the last entry left off, as our hero Rama (Iko Uwais) goes undercover to stop the corruption within his own police force.

This behind the scenes footage looks, in quite some detail, at the plot for the film as well as shooting specific action sequences too. Gareth Evans obviously has a lot of love for the project and it’s wonderful to see how the world has expanded from a single tower block into something more epic. This looks to be a sequel that dwarfs its predecessor, which is by no means an easy task.

THE RAID 2 is released in the US on 28th March and in the UK on 11th April. It stars Iko Uwais, Julie Estelle, Yayan Ruhian, Donny Alamsyah, Oka Antara, Arifin Putra, Ryuhei Matsuda, and Kenichi Endo.
