Laika’s ‘The Boxtrolls’ Gets Brand New Trailer

Laika have really proved themselves in a CG animated dominated world with their previous efforts CORALINE and PARANORMAN. Their next effort, THE BOXTROLLS, looks set to carry on their imaginative view of the world as we follow a number of strange trolls that only come out at night, but aren’t as dangerous as they first appear. Although such ideas have been explored, the wonderful style, which mixes a warm and cuddly tone with dark and gritty visuals, looks to enhance the film. A great British voice cast are joined by a number of international stars, which looks set to add a wonderful sense of comedy to the film.

THE BOXTROLLS arrives on 12th September 2014 in the UK and 26th September 2014 in the US. It stars the voices of Elle Fanning, Simon Pegg, Toni Collette, Nick Frost, Ben Kingsley, Tracy Morgan, Jared Harris, and Richard Ayoade.
