Still mourning the end of Breaking Bad? Not happy about the direction of Downton Abbey? Look no further people, we’ve got two new television shows which have just got their directors.

AMC Studios has today announced that its spooky 18th century show Knifemen will be directed by Brian Percival (best known for THE BOOK THIEF) and the action-adventure show Galyntine will be helmed by David McKenzie, best known for STARRED UP. Joel Stillerman, AMC’s executive vice president of programming, production and digital content, has said:

“These are both big, bold pilots that take us into worlds never before explored on television, and they needed the perfect directors to bring them to life. We feel like we found that in Brian and David, who both have such unique voices and visual styles and a true vision for the material”.

Sound exciting? We can’t wait – which television show are you most excited about for 2014? Let us know!
