Cowabunga indeed! What’s more surprising than the sudden appearance of the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES teaser? The fact that it looks pretty decent. We have done our fair share of Michael Bay-bashing on this site (he’s producing), as well slagging of director Jonathan Liebesman (WRATH OF THE TITANS, BATTLE LOS ANGELES) and star Megan Fox, who plays fearless reporter April O’Neil. But only because they make such utter dross. We don’t want to, we love film after all and want them to make decent movies. It’s just that we were all worried when we heard that this bunch were attached to the new Turtles film and nobody seemed to be shy about saying it.
But we must always let the work speak for itself and in this case, it has to be said, it looks alright. Sure Shredder might be a white dude now, sure it stars a terrible actor, sure Bay has ruined a beloved kids classic before. But let’s not be too hasty. Let us know what you think and let’s all have a totally tubular day!
