After Jennifer Lawrence brought in Oscar glory for her performance in SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK opposite Bradley Cooper, it made sense for the pair to collaborate again in David O. Russell’s follow-up AMERICAN HUSTLE. It seems they’re sticking to the saying ‘If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it’, as new stills have been released of the duo performing in Susanne Bier’s (LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED) SERENA.
Adapted from the Ron Rash novel of the same name, the story follows George (Cooper) and Serena Pemberton (Lawrence), a happily married couple building up a successful timber company in 1929. Intensely in love, George and Serena will bring down anyone in their way. However, when Serena is told she cannot have children, she goes on a jealous rampage to find the woman George had a baby with before they met…with plans to kill her.
Co-starring Rhys Ifans, Toby Jones, Sean Harris, Blake Ritson, Sam Reid and Charity Wakefield, this looks like it’s going to be amazing. However, fans (or potential fans) may have a while to wait as there still hasn’t been a release date – US or UK – announced. We’ll let you know as soon as possible.
