‘Fast And Furious 7’ Starts Rolling Again

Fast and Furious Paul Walker

After the unexpected passing of Paul Walker at the end of November last year, production on the seventh FAST AND FURIOUS film came to a resounding halt. The last few months have seen the people behind the scenes trying to come up with the best way to complete the film, frantically re-writing the script to a film which was quite far through its filming schedule. Their primary concern was writing what is essentially the main character of Brian O’Conner out of the story in a way that the fans would be pleased with.

We reported last week that the company plan to utilise a mixture of body doubles and CGI so that they can finish the story. Some of you out there will remember that Ridley Scott’s GLADIATOR did a similar thing with Oliver Reed after he tragically passed away during filming. The result was almost seamless in authenticity and considering that GLADIATOR was well over a decade ago it is likely that as an audience we won’t be able to tell what is Walker and what isn’t.

Yesterday saw the hiatus come to an end with director James Wan sharing this picture via Instagram with the words ‘First day back filming. Better and Stronger. #Fast&Furious7‘ attached.

FAST AND FURIOUS 7 was set to be released on 11 July 2014 however the delayed filming has now pushed the film back to an April 2015 release date.
