Starting out with a guest spot on season one of Smallville, who would have guessed that a little over a decade later Amy Adams would find herself not only upgraded to the role of Lois Lane in MAN OF STEEL, but that she would also have one of the most enviable resumes in female acting. She’s done it all, from Disney (ENCHANTED) to drama (DOUBT), she’s even worked with The Muppets!
The five time Oscar nominated actress is rumored to have found her next project with PRISONERS director Denis Villeneuve. The film is based on a short story, Story Of Your Life, written by contemporary science-fiction author Ted Chiang. The plot of the short follows a female linguist who is recruited by the military after a U.F.O crashlands on Earth. Adams looks set to sign as the woman tasked with trying to communicate with the alien beings in an attempt to work out whether or not they are here to destroy humanity.
