THE WALKING DEAD fan-favourite Norman Reedus has joined the cast of cop thriller TRIPLE NINE.
Directed by John Hillcoat (LAWLESS, THE ROAD), the project already has Kate Winslet (DIVERGENT), Woody Harrelson (True Detective), Casey Affleck (AIN’T THEM BODIES SAINTS), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 YEARS A SLAVE), Anthony Mackie (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER), Teresa Palmer (WARM BODIES), Michael Pena (END OF WATCH), Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad) and Gal Gadot (BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN) signed up. The plot focuses on a group of corrupt police officers who come into contact with an evil Russian gang. When the mobsters blackmail the officers into performing an almost impossible heist, the only way for it to succeed is if they create a 999 (Triple Nine), the code for ‘officer down’. However, when their rookie/victim figures out their plan, all hell breaks loose.
This sounds extraordinary; just take a look at that cast list, jam-packed with talent! Hillcoat already has credentials in action-drama cinema, so this is bound to be good. Adding Reedus’ name just adds to our excitement.
TRIPLE NINE has a predicted release date for 2015.
