Salma is set to join the cast of Sony’s crude animated comedy, SAUSAGE PARTY. She will voice the character of a taco named Teresa. Her co-stars include the likes of; Seth Rogen, James Franco, Jonah Hill, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Michael Cera, Nick Kroll and David Krumholtz.
The film revolves around one sausage’s journey into discovering the truth about his existence. After falling out of a shopping trolley, the brave sausage must make his way through the supermarket and journey back to his aisle before the Fourth of July sale. Whilst embarking on this dangerous journey the heroic sausage finds some unlikely friends.
Salma has previously offered her voice to animated films THE PIRATES! IN AN ADVENTURE WITH SCIENTISTS! and PUSS IN BOOTS. Her latest screen appearance was GROWN UPS 2, and she will next be staring in HOW TO MAKE LOVE LIKE AN ENGLISHMAN alongside Jessica Alba and Pierce Brosnan.
SAUSAGE PARTY is looking at a 2015 release and will be directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon.
