Benedict Cumberbatch Won’t Ever Be Seen In ‘Star Wars’ Or ‘Doctor Who’

Benedict Cumberbatch

Steven Moffat, the producer of the TV series SHERLOCK and J.J. Abrams, director of STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS both have their work cut out for them at the moment, with Moffat currently working on DOCTOR WHO and J.J. Abrams working on the new STAR WARS sequel trilogy.

In recent news there has been a lot of speculation about Cumberbatch’s potential involvement in the up and coming projects as he has worked with both Moffat and J.J Abrams in the past. However, over the weekend Cumberbatch participated in a Q&A session in Sydney and disappointed us all by ending the rumours; claiming that he would not be partaking in anything DOCTOR WHO or STAR WARS related.

Despite his claims, there is still hope; in previous interviews and Q&A sessions, Cumberbatch denied rumours of his role in STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, which actually turned out to be true. So anyone who is a fan of Cumberbatch and his acting can only hope that he is lying.

With the production of the new STAR WARS film underway, the crew list should be released soon. J.J. Abrams has kept us waiting long enough and we should be able to finally see if Benedict Cumberbatch was lying or not.
