New Hi-Res Stills Of Karen Gillan As Nebula In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’

There’s a lot of excitement at THN Towers for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY and not just because all the characters resemble each of us in some form, yes, we even have a raccoon that rocks.

There’s obviously also a lot of interest for our very own Scottish lass Karen Gillan post-Doctor Who and her general awesomeness, so we’re very please to share with you (via James Gunn) this even better look at her as Nebula, the mercenary Alien supervillain and she’s looking awesome. We’ve learned that she’s also 100% practical effects which is always a good thing in our book.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is set  deep in the far reaches of space, where an American pilot named Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan. Click here for some other great shots, then also watch some behind-the-scenes action and here’s that shot – as promised:

Vin Diesel lends his voice to Groot in the film, and Bradley Cooper voices Rocket Raccoon in the film (who we actually met earlier this year – the raccoon, not Cooper). It opens on August 1st.
