We at THN love Stan Lee, we especially love a Stan Lee cameo (see our feature) and so we were disappointed to hear that he would not feature in James Gunn’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. Marvel and Stan Lee fans can rest easy now though as Lee has confirmed that he will make an appearance. In January the legendary comic creator revealed that he would be a no-show in the production however whilst speaking at Chicago expo c2e2, he confirmed that he would now star.

During a panel in which Lee was a guest, a fan asked whether or not he still would take part in the film to which Lee simply replied ‘ I did, already.’ He went on to tease the following:

I can’t tell you what it is, but I can tell you I do not understand what it was or why I did it. It has me with a girl – a very pretty girl – that’s all I can tell you.

By now everyone and their dog should know that GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY centres around a mish-mash team of outlaws who join forces to help save the galaxy.

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY will be directed by James Gunn and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Benicio Del Toro and Karen Gillan. It is released Worldwide from 1st August.
