WATCH! ‘X-Men: DOFP’ Stinger From ‘TASM2’

Does it count as a stinger when the scene is from another film with no connection to the movie you’ve just watched? Fans speculated like crazy when it was announced that THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 would contain a sequence from the upcoming X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST in its postcredits. Could this be the unfathomable allegiance of two studios combining Marvel forces to take on THE AVENGERS at their own game? No! It was merely an agreement between the two studios that allowed Marc Webb out of his contract with Fox Searchlight so that he could direct THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 for Sony. We’ve been so spoiled by future teases of franchises that seeing a clip of a film just a few weeks away was a bit of a disappointment.

For those of you who couldn’t or wouldn’t make it out to see THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 (I know I haven’t bothered to yet), here’s the X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST clip that you’ve missed out on. It’s a scene in which Mystique, Toad, Havoc and others, take on a younger William Stryker. It’s interesting to see Havoc having joined up with Mystique, as well as the beginnings for The Brotherhood of Mutants, but other than that, it would have been nice to see the deleted postcredits scene from TASM2 which teased a character appearance for future films.

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST is set for release 22nd May in the UK and 23rd May in the US. It will star James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Peter Dinklage, Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, Daniel Cudmore, Fan Bingbing, Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy, Evan Peters, Lucas Till, and Ian McKellen.
