Oscar nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 YEARS A SLAVE) and Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow are set to play the lead roles in crime thriller THE SECRET IN THEIR EYES, which is being directed by writer Billy Ray, best known for helming CAPTAIN PHILLIPS and THE HUNGER GAMES. Quite a mix!
Ejiofor will play a former MI5 secret agent who travels to America to undertake a mission with the FBI, whilst still driven crazy by an old murder that continues to haunt him. As with any of these thrillers, he uncovers a truth which will shed a horrific new light on the unsolved murder.
The film is an adaptation from Ray’s screenplay, based on Juan José Campanella’s 2009 Foreign Language Film Oscar winner.
