There are some really vicious rumours going around the internet. I’ve just stumbled across something that is either really quite magnificent, or the worst idea in the history of superhero movies.
It is being teased that The Joker may appear in the upcoming MAN OF STEEL sequel BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN.
The source of this is apparently none other than the film’s director of photography Larry Fong, who posted the following image on Instagram THREE WEEKS AGO. Man Of Steel Fanpage found it. Read into it what you will…
Now, either that calling card belongs to the red-caped wonder himself, and he’s discarded it after a shocking hand at Blackjack, or we’re looking at the potential prescience of a new Joker on the big screen. Or, could it be from the planned JUSTICE LEAGUE movie which is also being shot back-to-back with BVS? Who knows, but I’m a little excited…. Though it’s quite likely that it means nothing.
From “Man of Steel” Director Zack Snyder, the film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. The film also stars Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and reunites “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN is written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers. Zack Snyder directs.
The film is set to open worldwide on May 6th, 2016.
