‘Fast 7’ Will End As Originally Scripted & Gets New Cast Member

After the sudden and unexpected death of Paul Walker in November there were a lot of questions about the fate of the newest FAST AND FURIOUS film FAST 7 which was well into production at the time. Having only recently started filming again it has been revealed to THR that the film is being finished more or less as scripted. So what about Walker’s character Brian?

The studio have come up with a clever, if not incredibly expensive way around no longer having the actor and it involves Peter Jackson’s Weta. The team have been brought in to blend the performance of three separate beings into one. Paul’s two brothers Cody and Caleb will be acting as body stand-ins, younger brother Cody will be the eyes whilst older brother Caleb will be used for the physicality and mannerisms. Neither brother is an actor so a third person will be brought in to perform the scenes. It is also thought that director James Wan intends to use some B-roll footage from cut-scenes in previous Fast films to help bridge the void.

In other FAST 7 news Latin-American singer Romeo Santos (pictured) has been cast in an unconfirmed role. Vin Diesel announced the news live last night during one of Santos’ gigs. He will join fellow new-blood Jason Statham and Kurt Russell.

FAST 7 will be released on the 10th April 2015.
