First Look At Justin Long In Kevin Smith’s ‘Tusk’

Kevin Smith, the filmmaker who threatened retirement recently, is back with a new movie later this year. TUSK is based on a conversation from one of his famous SModcast podcasts, which revolved around a homeowner who posted a Gumtree ad offering a living situation free of charge, if the lodger agrees to dress as a walrus. That ad, and lengthy discussion morphed into a feature length film which Smith writes and directs.

WikiPedia has this as the official synopsis for the movie.

When podcast host and journalist Wallace Bryton goes missing in the backwoods of Manitoba while interviewing a mysterious seafarer named Mr. Howe, his best friend and podcast co-host Teddy Craft teams with Wallace’s girlfriend to find him.

We’re hearing that the film will hit cinemas in the Fall following its very brief shoot last November in North Carolina. Justin Long plays said person who was willing to alter his body to look like a walrus, and you can tell from this pretty graphic image tweeted by Smith just yesterday that he’s true to his word.

TUSK also stars Michael Parks, Haley Joel Osment and Genesis Rodriguez.
