The 2014 Tony Awards graced our screens last night. Wolverine himself Hugh Jackman took on hosting duties (Neil Patrick Harris has to have a break sometime this year!) and it is safe to say it was an absolute spectacle. But the big question is, who were the winners?
Hedwig And The Angry Inch took home four awards, with Lena Hall and Neil Patrick Harris winning the Tonys in their categories. Bryan Cranston also took home a Tony for his Broadway debut in All The Way. Sophie Okendo and Mark Rylance represented the Brits last night, as they took home awards for their roles in A Raisin In The Sun and Twelfth Night.
But of course, the biggest talk of the night was the performances. We saw Harris car wash Orlando Bloom and lick Samuel L. Jackson’s glasses in his performance of Hedwig’s “Sugar Daddy” while James Monroe Iglehart and the cast of Aladdin stole the show with “Friend Like Me” and a few extra Disney classics. Most random performance of the night went to the cast of Rocky, go google it and see why.
