Watch First Footage From David Ayer’s WWII Film ‘Fury’ Starring Brad Pitt

David Ayer has emerged as a massive talent in Hollywood over the past couple of decades. After writing the Oscar-winning Denzel Washington film TRAINING DAY, and the first FAST AND THE FURIOUS movie, the screenwriter went on to direct a slew of films including HARSH TIMES with Christian Bale, END OF WATCH with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena, and this year’s Arnold Schwarzenegger vehicle SABOTAGE. Later in 2014, he turns his focus from the mean streets of Los Angeles to the battlefields of World War II with the action-drama FURY.

Brad Pitt stars opposite Shia Labeouf, Michael Pena, Logan Lerman, and Jon Bernthal. Here’s a synopsis.

Fury is set at the very end of World War II, in April 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theater, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Outnumbered and outgunned, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.

At the massive E3 event in the States yesterday, footage from the film was played to attendees of the ‘World Of Tanks’ panel via a new featurette, which IGN kindly posted to the internet. Check it out in its entirety below.

FURY opens on the 24th October in the UK, and the 14th November in the US.
