*warning: contains series four spoilers!*
Though Game of Thrones has proven its consistent quality throughout four seasons, there are certainly some episodes which manage greater heights than others. As the series drew to a close earlier this week, Way to Blue took a look back to see which of the ten episodes that we’ve had this series garnered the most discussion.
Unsurprisingly, given the anticipation fans were feeling about the return of the show after series three, it was episode one ‘Two Swords’ which received the most buzz. The final episode, ‘The Children’ actually came in third with social chatter, close on the heels of episode two ‘The Lion and the Rose’, which saw the long-awaited death of Joffrey Baratheon.
In true Game of Thrones style, it was three very shocking deaths in this series which garnered the most online chatter: The poisoning of Joffrey, the crushing defeat of Oberyn Martell and Tywin Lannister being shot by his own son while on the chamber pot.
