Tom Hardy seems to do everything right at the moment and THE DROP doesn’t look like an exception to the cause. This international trailer picks up the intensity and drives it into your head just within those two minutes. The film looks set to showcase not only Hardy’s talents but also the late-great James Gandolfini once again.
Directed by Michaël R. Roskam (BULLHEAD) and based on a screenplay by GONE BABY GONE, SHUTTER ISLAND and MYSTIC RIVER’S Dennis Lahane, THE DROP centres around the life of bartender Bob Saginowski (Tom Hardy).
Sagniowski is part of a covert scheme that funnels cash to gangsters in the underworld of Brooklyn bars and after a robbery goes wrong, he finds himself stuck under the heavy hand of his employer and cousin Marv (James Gandolfini), , plus deeply entwined in an investigation that digs deep into the neighbourhood’s past.
