Firefly Star To Cameo In ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’

Nathan Fillion

Nathan Fillion is a cult God. Fans of the prematurely cancelled FIREFLY fell head over heels for the actors on-screen counterpart Captain Mal Reynolds. He then starred alongside Elizabeth Banks in James Gunn’s comedy horror SLITHER. Whilst working together the pair became firm friends and it was once thought Fillion was in line for the role of Star Lord AKA Peter Quill in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY.

This was not meant to be though as The OC graduate Chris Pratt was cast in the role. Gunn hasn’t forgotten his friend though and took to twitter to let fans know that his old friend will make a cameo in his latest film. This will see Fillion finally star in a Marvel film, something that some fans have been campaigning for, for a very long time. Fingers crossed the cameo is lengthier than Anna Paquin’s blink and you missed her cameo in the recent X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, with Gunn promised that it will be ‘very fun’:

We at THN have our fingers crosed that Captain Mal himself may make an appearance, either is a space bar or as one of the other inmates at the prison where the Guardians meet. Either way we don’t have too much longer to wait as GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is released worldwide 1st August 2014.
