Ira Sachs’ forthcoming drama, LOVE IS STRANGE, has a new trailer.
John Lithgow and Alfred Molina star as Ben and George, a same-sex couple who finally get round to tying the knot. But the course of true love never did run smooth. You see, George is a Catholic music teacher and when his boss (that’s the archdiocese) finds out, he suddenly finds himself without a job. Faced with having to downsize their living space, the couple have no choice but to part for a while and stay with different friends and family. But will their relationship survive?
Check out the trailer below:
LOVE IS STRANGE is fresh from Sundance Film Festival this year and has a solid cast in Lithgow and Molina. Marisa Tomei, Charlie Tahan, Cheyenne Jackson, Harriet Sansom Harris, Darren E. Burrows, Christian Coulson and John Cullum also star. It comes to cinemas from August.

Claire Joanne Huxham comes from the south-west, where the cider flows free and the air smells of manure. She teaches A-level English by day and fights crime by night. When not doing either of these things she can usually be found polishing her Star Trek DVD boxsets. And when she can actually be bothered she writes fiction and poetry that pops up on the web and in print. Her favourite film in the whole world, ever, is BLADE RUNNER.
