Watch: New ‘Guardians Of The Galaxy’ TV Spot And Featurette

The publicity cogs for GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY keep on turning with the last twenty four hours treating us to not only a new TV spot, but also a nifty featurette. The featurette features commentary from all of the Guardians – Zoe Saldana, Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper – as they discuss their characters and the bond between them.

The main message running through the footage is that we’ve not seen a hero movie like this before. Saldana remarked that the Guardians are:

“Thieves, bounty hunters and the neglected. It’s not the typical super hero movie”.

Bradley Cooper, who is providing the vocals for gun-loving raccoon Rocket, assured that:

“There’s a lot of humour in this one, and a lot of heart. There’s nothing like it”.

It is also very clear that all have bonded closely with their characters. Vin Diesel has the following to say about his alter-ego Groot:

“Groot is the strangest and most interesting character that Marvel has ever put on screen”.

See the featurette below:

Fully ready for this behind-the scenes-look to not be enough to satisfy those hungry for the film, the studio also released a new TV spot (which is a little bit awesome). The new spot offers once more new glimpses of what is arguably Marvel’s most adventurous adaptation, all scored to what is hopefully another one of Star Lord’s compilation tape tracks, Cherry Bomb by female band The Runaways. See it below:

GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY is being directed by James Gunn, the man behind cult favourite SLITHER, and is released everywhere from 1st August, with previews available from 31st July.
