Trailer & Posters For Ridley Scott’s Biblical ‘Exodus: Gods And Kings’ Unleashed

After a very disappointing collaboration with novelist Cormac McCarthy on THE COUNSELLOR last year, Ridley Scott is back to his epic ways of film-making with EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS. Starring Christian Bale and Joel Edgerton, the film is based on the exodus of The Israelites from Egypt led by Moses, and it also relates to The Old Testament Book Of Exodus.

From what the trailer shows, Ridley Scott seems to be on very firm ground as he dramatises the battle between Moses and Ramses II. Christian Bale dons an impressive beard as he plays Moses, while THE GREAT GATSBY’s Joel Edgerton makes an astonishing transformation as Ramses II and with no Whitney Huston-esque soundtrack in sight though like 1998’s THE PRINCE OF EGYPT – which is probably a good thing!

Here’s that trailer and scroll down for the posters – which may need a little work before the film is released as one looks like a poor fan photoshop job – it really does:

The new film comes following another Biblical success, NOAH Directed by Darren Aronofsky which made over $300 Million at the Box Office. Ridley Scott has not finished with Biblical matter just yet, as he is planning to produce a film about King David. It also stars John Turturro, Aaron Paul, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley.

EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS is expected to be released in cinemas December 2014.
