Ladies and gents, if you ever wanted Jake Gyllenhaal talking directly to you – this is your chance to listen and possibly give him a job!
I might be teasing a little but in this first look at NIGHTCRAWLER, Mr Gyllenhaal to out to convince that he’s the right man for the role. We don’t know that much about him currently, bar the fact it’s been uploaded on his character’s YouTube channel, which is in the name of Dan Bloom. The film itself is the directorial debut for Dan Gilroy, a man who’s also worked on the screenplays for THE BOURNE LEGACY, REAL STEEL, TWO FOR THE MONEY and THE FALL.
All we really know so far, is this:
A young man stumbles upon the underground world of L.A. freelance crime journalism.
It’ll have a limited US theatre run from October 17th but we’re guessing it will move into the Film Festival circuit next year, obviously this is complete speculation, but it’s an indie vibe and even a slight feel of ETERNAL SUNSHINE but that’s only because his character seems a little lost and crazy.
