Is Vince Vaughn In Talks For The Second Season Of True Detective?

We’re all in agreement that the first season of True Detective starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson was nothing short of amazeballs, right? Good. Well, as we all look forward to the second season from creator/ showrunner Nic Pizzolatto, here comes a casting rumour that you weren’t expecting. According to sources over at TV Line, the word is that none other than lanky comedy actor Vince Vaughn is in talks to join the show as one of the leads.

Yep.

The site says that the star is one of three leads in the piece, which is apparently set in California against the backdrop of “hard women, bad men and the secret occult history of the United States transportation system.” TV Line also statest that there could possibly be four leads in the next season after Colin Farrell and Taylor Kitsch were previously mentioned to be in talks for two of them.

Pizzolatto is said to have already sent in the scripts to HBO for the first couple of episodes, and their president Michael Lombardo has been quoted in saying that; “the two scripts we have are…more exciting than the first season.” We wait with baited breath.
