More Join The Cast Of The ‘Kickboxer’ Remake

Tony Jaa

More cast members for the planned KICKBOXER remake have been announced. Joining the remake/ reboot of the superb 1980s Jean Claude Van Damme actioner, is none other than martial arts legend Tony Jaa (ONG BAK) and Scott Adkins (ZERO DARK THIRTY). The two join the already cast George St. Pierre (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER), Dave Bautista (GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY), and Alain Moussi (X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST), who takes the Van Damme role.

KICKBOXER revolves around the story of Kurt Sloan (Moussi), who journeys to Thailand to avenge the death of his brother by taking part in an infamous martial arts tournament. There he fights his way through to get to his brother’s killer, the fearsome Tong Po (Bautista).

The film will apparently feature 20 different martial arts, and will be directed by Stephen Fung (TAI CHI HERO). Oh, yes, it will also be presented in 3D.

What do we think? Before you answer that, let’s remember the good times.
