Earlier this week we brought you the news that Colin Treverrow has finished filming JURASSIC WORLD and now it is the turn of Joss Whedon to hang-up his director’s hat. That’s right folks THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON has wrapped.
Having spent the last several years tied-up within the Marvel universe it seems that poor Joss doesn’t quite know what to do with himself. He won’t be bored for too-long though as, although principal photography is over, there is a lot of work still to be done. Plus he now has the task of not only making his sequel better than the first film, but also GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. It will be the first Marvel film post James Gunn’s spectacle, a film that truly seems to have captured the hearts and imagination of everyone that has watched it.
THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON will see the super-team of Ironman, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk, Thor and Captain America unite to take down the titular Ultron, a feat that won’t be that easy as they first have to go through twins Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch. The new dastardly duo popped-up during CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER’s post-credit sting and will, according to Whedon, challenge the team in ways they could have never imagined.
The film which stars Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, James Spader, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen is released worldwide on 1st May 2015.
