BBC Urge ‘Doctor Who’ Fans To Re-Tweet Secret ‘Deep Breath’ Trailer

The upcoming season of Doctor Who has seen more leaks than a Dalek on a water slide, with some scripts, a rough cut of the first episode and most recently the title sequence finding their way out onto the interweb for prying eyes. So for their latest trailer release the BBC are letting the fans do the fanfare, “secretly” uploading to YouTube and encouraging everyone to Tweet it to the wider world. Here’s the new slice of Whovian hush hush…

An additional message reads:

The new Doctor lands in Victorian London. Share this secret trailer for the first episode of Series 8. #DoctorWho starts Saturday 23rd August on @BBCOne.

We get glimpses of new Time Lord Peter Capaldi rocking a Scrooge era nightie and confirmation that the man with the half-clockwork face seen in earlier trailers is part of the Twelfth Doctor’s debut alongside the Paternoster Gang of Silurian, kick-ass lesbian and Sontaran. There’s also a slightly redesigned TARDIS interior – it must be very slight as I can’t see the difference from the old one.

Starring Capaldi and Jenna Coleman, Series 8 commences at the stroke of 7.50pm on August 23rd.
