Brad Pitt’s ‘Fury’ To Close London Film Festival

This year’s BFI London Film Festival is almost upon us. Although the full schedule is being kept under wraps until 3rd September it was recently announced that Benedict Cumberbatch’s THE IMITATION GAME would open the festivities. Today sees the news break that David Ayer’s FURY, which stars none other than Brad Pitt will have the honour of closing the festival. The film will hold its European premiere at the event with both director Ayers and star Pitt confirmed as attending.

FURY, which was filmed on location over in the UK last year is set during the second World War. The plot follows Pitt’s battle-hardened army sergeant as he takes a tank plus its five man crew behind enemy lines. The film also stars Michael Pena who starred in Ayer’s END OF WATCH, the occasionally retired Shia Labeouf, and ex-Walking Dead actor Jon Bernthal. The festival opens on Wednesday 8th October and closes on Sunday 19th October. FURY officially opens across cinemas in the UK on 24th October.
