‘Ant-Man’ Begins Filming

It’s had its ups and it’s had its downs, but now ANT-MAN, Marvel’s start to Phase 3, has officially begun filming. Starring Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas, the film tells the story of a man who can change his size. Paul Rudd plays Scott Lang while Douglas takes on the role of the original ANT-MAN, Hank Pym. Director Peyton Reed tweeted earlier today:

Reed took over the director’s chair from Edgar Wright, who had been with the project for 11 years. Wright left due to creative differences, and it should be noted that his vision would have obviously been changed by the studio after their own cinematic universe took off. Although many still seem upset, Marvel aren’t putting too many feet wrong at the moment, and who doesn’t love BRING IT ON?

ANT-MAN is scheduled for release on 17th July 2015. It stars Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, and Michael Pena.
