Latest ‘Monsters: Dark Continent’ UK Trailer

Gareth Edwards may be tangling with bigger monsters and franchises in the form of GODZILLA and STAR WARS, but his very own MONSTERS continues forward in the form of MONSTERS: DARK CONTINENT, directed by Tom Green. Green is responsible for some of the best episodes of the fantastic first two seasons of Misfits so hopefully his style will translate well to the monster focused sequel. Those worried about Edwards’ departure should note that he has given the project his full blessing and has even stated “I better watch my back,” in terms of the sequel’s quality. There’s still a lot of human drama in this sequel, as a group of soldiers venture into areas swarming with monsters, but we also see a lot more of the monsters themselves. Skins and Game Of Thrones star Joe Dempsie, leads the cast in what looks to be a genuine extension of the original. Could this be a rare sequel that tops its predecessor? We’ll have to wait and see, but with GODZILLA 2, PACIFIC RIM 2, and SKULL ISLAND on the horizon, it’s never been a better time to be a monster fan.

MONSTERS: DARK CONTINENT is released 28th November in the UK. It stars Joe Dempsie, Sofia Boutella, Johnny Harris, Sam Keeley, Kyle Soller, and Nicholas Pinnock.
