Ryan Gosling & Russell Crowe Are ‘The Nice Guys’ In Summer 2016

Further to the confirmation the recently of these two galactic stars leading THE NICE GUYS, it’s now been confirmed for a summer release date of June 17th, 2016.

But what’s it about, you ask? Well, THE NICE GUYS takes back in 1970s LA, when an unlucky private eye (Ryan Gosling) and hired thug (Russell Crowe) end up working together to try and solve the case of a missing girl, and the death of a porn star but, as you may have guessed, they start to uncover something even bigger.

It’s directed by Shane Black, who co-wrote the screenplay with Anthony Bagarozzi and they’re teaming up once again with KISS KISS BANG BANG and LETHAL WEAPON producer Joel Silver – so it’s a pretty smart team behind the project. I’m a huge fan of both those titles, and Black also wrote THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT, LAST ACTION HERO and IRON MAN 3 so you get the kind of work going into this.

THE NICE GUYS is set to start filming this autumn and we’ll bring you all the latest as we hear it.
