Following news that a reboot of the UNDERWORLD series is underway, Lakeshore Entertainment have confused matters by confirming Theo James as the male lead. James appeared in previous instalment AWAKENING with Kate Beckinsale and while it’s been announced she isn’t going to be part of the new direction as Selene he very much is – presuming he’s going to be playing the same character (David) again, we could be seeing more of a continuation than a reworking as initially reported.
It sounds like Lakeshore are looking to get the fifth film before cameras pretty much straightaway, meaning James will be up to his soft neck in franchises. In addition to fronting this monster mash up of vampires battling werewolves he also toplines the DIVERGENT sequels, titled THE DIVERGENT SERIES: ALLEGIANT PART 1 and 2 respectively. Meaty titles indeed, and the young actor’s life is about to get a lot meatier as he steps into Beckinsale’s boots for a fresh round of bloody carnage.
