The winner of having the most casting rumours this year, definitely must go to SHERLOCK star, Benedict Cumberbatch. There are whispers currently going around that he is wanted for a role in JUSTICE LEAGUE.
It has been suggested that Cumberbatch may play the main villain in the new superhero film that is scheduled to be released in a few years. Type casting much? It is no doubt the actor has played brilliant antagonists such as Khan in STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS, and Smaug in THE HOBBIT, but is this all too predictable? Again, this is all but a rumour at the moment as Cumberbatch comments:
“Justice League, yeah. Maybe. Let the rumour mill run. I don’t know. I mean this is like the second time I’ve heard these rumours. I love rumours. I think Batman v. Superman is going to happen. It’s a film that’s being made. I’m not at liberty to say whether I’m Batman or Superman,”
It is possible Cumberbatch is messing with us, so until 2016, hopefully the cast will have been revealed.
The film is scripted by Chris Terrio and directed by Zack Snyder and is expected out in early 2017.
