The really rather superb THE EQUALIZER, starring Denzel Washington, is out in cinemas tomorrow (review here), and whilst not giving away too much about how it ends up, the film does set itself up quite nicely for a potential sequel.
Washington appears on The Graham Norton Show this week, where the said that a sequel is possible, but it’s up to us if we want it.
Here’s what he said.
“We’ve got to get this one out first. They’ve talked about it, but it’s up to the people, they decide. The last part of movie is always the audience.”
So, if we go see it and make some cash for Sony, a sequel could be on the cards, which is interesting as we can’t see that Denzel has ever made a sequel of any kind during his long career.
Anyway, whatever they do, you must go see THE EQUALIZER this weekend. It really is rather good.
