‘The Interview’ Gets New Green & Red Band Trailers

The controversial new comedy, THE INTERVIEW, has already caused some extra friction between the US and North Korea. North Korea came forward and declared it an act of war, but also said Kim Jong Eun would probably see it anyway. No surprise given the regime’s love for film over the years, even if they do not make such films readily available to the public. THE INTERVIEW sees James Franco and Seth Rogen get the opportunity to interview the leader of the world’s most mysterious and troubled country, and are soon asked to assassinate said later by request of the CIA.

This latest trailer focuses more on the relationship between Franco and Rogen’s characters, with more of the humour aimed at them rather than taking shots at Kim (played by Randall Park). The plot is still unsettling, because although nothing should be off limits in terms of comedy, North Korea is a terrifying place where many atrocities happen. Whether the film will address such matters remains to be seen. Let’s hope Kim’s sense of humour isn’t merely restricted to NBA Basketball players singing Happy Birthday to him…that was a joke right?

THE INTERVIEW is released Christmas Day in the US and on 5th February 2015 in the UK. It stars James Franco, Seth Rogen, Randall Park, Lizzy Caplan, Diana Bang, and Rob Lowe.
