Everyone’s favourite spy, James Bond, is coming to a comic book series. Dynamite Entertainment announced it would be teaming up with the estate of Bond creator and writer, Ian Fleming to bring the new series to life.
007 is no stranger to comics. The character has appeared in them repeatedly since 1958. Dark Horse last held the rights to publish Bond back in the ’90s.
Dynamite will kick things off in 2015 with an origins storyline focussing on what Bond got up to before the events in Casino Royale. But fans will no doubt be pleased to hear the company can create new characters to add to the Bond mythology.
Of course, we’re all wondering what our vodka Martini drinking sleuth is going to look like. A young Sean Connery? A Daniel Craig type, bursting out of the sea? An under-rated Lazenby in a kilt? Maybe a different facial feature of each?
