South Korea has given us a disproportionate amount of the greatest films of the last 15 years, and even before this sudden breakout, South Korea was has many hidden classics yet to be screened or made available on our shores. 2014 welcomes the 9th London Korean Film Festival with many incredible films both old and brand new. Guaranteed highlights are A HARD DAY and A GIRL AT MY DOOR, both of which screened at the London Film Festival, you can read our reviews for them by clicking the following links: A HARD DAY, A GIRL AT MY DOOR.
Also certain to raise some eyebrows is a look back at the career of Kim Ki Duk, before the UK premiere of his latest film ONE ON ONE. His recent classics PIETA and MOEBIUS (reviewed here) will also be screened.
The opening gala film will be KUNDO: AGE OF RAMPANT, while the closing gala film will be the 102nd (you read that right) film of Im Kwon Taek, REVIVRE. Also not to be missed is South Korea’s entry into next year’s Academy Awards race, HAEMOO a.k.a. SEA FOG.
Here’s the complete programme of films, which also takes in screenings at other locations:

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
