Viewers of AMC’s The Walking Dead have just been given a special treat. Amongst the rotting carcasses and sweaty brows another kind of scavenger plied his trade – yes, it’s a fresh teaser for Breaking Bad prequel Better Call Saul, that sees Albuquerque’s favourite palm-greasing (or is that just greasy?) legal eagle taking care of business. Mute the sound if grinding metal sets your teeth on edge…
And if that doesn’t seal the deal for you, a brand new clip has been uploaded, featuring BB veteran Mike Erhmantraut (Jonathan Banks).
Taking place six years before the events of its parent programme, Better Call Saul stars Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy McGill, alongside Banks, Michael McKean, Rhea Seehorn, Patrick Fabian and Michael Mando. Though the potential for comedy is there in spades, the overall tone of the show will be dramatic. Created by Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould it debuts on AMC February 9th. This particular brand couldn’t have better representation.
