The boys who can do no wrong, Chris Miller and Phil Lord, are following up their double whammy of THE LEGO MOVIE and 22 JUMP STREET by producing TV series Last Man On Earth. Created by, and starring, Will Forte, the series follows the last man on Earth as he searches for other survivors in a post-apocalyptic world. It seems as though one such survivor will be January Jones, which may just make Will Forte’s character one of the luckiest men alive, which I guess goes without saying but you know what I mean. Jones will appear as a regular in the comedy although it may only be in flashbacks to pre-apocalypse times.
Also appearing in the show set to premier in the US on 1st March 2015 with back-to-back episodes on FOX are Kristen Schaal, Mel Rodriguez, and Cleopatra Coleman. The show seems to have great potential, as we’ll follow Forte doing stuff we’d all love to do in a world of our own, but will the joke run dry quickly? Let’s hope not, and maybe we’ll get the comedy classic that I AM LEGEND almost was.
