So, it looks like JJ Abrams is still surprising with his choices for the seemingly ‘wrapped’ STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. News reaches us via Twitch that Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman, have all joined the December 18th released film.
The three actors have previously appeared in Gareth Evans’ THE RAID movies, and it is thought that they will serve as fight choreographers on the sequel rather than have key roles amongst the impressive cast.
Uwais played the lead role of Rama in the Indonesian action films, while Ruhian was seen as ‘Mad Dog’ in the original, while Rahman appeared as ‘The Assassin’ in the key kitchen scene in last year’s THE RAID 2. Uwais and Ruhian were fight choreographers on both ‘Raid’ movies, and as we’re sure you’ll agree, did a pretty good job.
Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o, Gwendoline Christie, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou all star in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, which, as we previously stated, is released on 18th December, 2015.
